Produced for the Australian War Memorial to Commemorate 100 Years since WW1 - Comes in Clear Acetate Display Box with Australia War Memorial Label
More than 3,000 Australian civilian nurses volunteered for active service during the First World War. While enabling direct participation in the war effort, nursing also provided opportunities for independence and travel, sometimes with the hope of being closer to loved ones serving overseas.
Florence nurse bear is a reminder of these women who served their country by caring for the sick and wounded soldiers.
Florence stands 40 cm talk and comes in a clear presentation box.
Not suitable for children under 3 years, due to small removable parts.
A donation is made from the sale of this bear to Soldier On, who support Australia’s physically and psychologically wounded. Founded in 2012, Soldier On work to enhance recovery, inspire communities and empower Australia’s wounded, giving those who have served our country the dignity they deserve and the chance to do and be whatever they choose.
